1 · Load any GLB

Choose a GLB to inspect.

No model loaded.

🎬 Director's Desk · describe, preview, collaborate

You direct. Your AI collaborator can propose small changes. CoLab runs supported recipes locally and keeps the original GLB untouched. Nothing is automatically sent to an AI service.

Choose an experience Tell your AI partner what you want

Load a GLB, select the part you mean in Inspect, then describe the change.

◈ Local repair proposal

Works on a selected mesh/patch. Recalculate shading normals on a mesh, or relax the *interior* of a static selected surface. Preview and compare before exporting.

Repair operation Patch smoothing strength 28%

Select a region in Inspect. Skinned meshes permit shading fixes; structural smoothing is limited to static meshes.

🤝 Apply an agent's *reviewable* local recipe

Paste a JSON recipe from your AI partner. CoLab checks the original GLB fingerprint and permits only listed local actions. It never executes arbitrary AI-generated code.

Accepted actions: repair normals/relax; paint tint; animation gesture. The artist approves the result.

For a conversational agent, share your screenshot + Agent JSON. It can send back instructions or a validated recipe. Cloud AI isn't included and local repairs have deliberately narrow safety limits.

Local recovery

Checking this device for a saved session…

Private to this browser on this device. CoLab stores the original GLB, selections, paint, and poses locally when space allows. Nothing is uploaded. JSON exports remain your portable backup; previous paint undo history and comparison GLBs are not restored.

App updates · version 0.11

Updates never interrupt active work automatically.

Six-color geometry selections and agent handoffs · B3.3 preserved

2 · Surface selection

Tap a visible surface in Select mode.

Auto-select connected part when tapping

Uncheck for individual triangles. A numbered, color-coded marker shows the exact surface tap even if a tiny triangle is hard to see. Use Connected part to expand the active region again.

3 · Six independent color selections

Active region name

Choose a color, tap geometry and expand to Connected part. Select another color to keep both regions visible. You can name each region. This is for inspection, not yet expression editing. B2.1/B3.1: tapping auto-expands connected geometry, and each color slot remembers its hit.

4 · Selection visibility

Surrounding geometry visibility 20%

Isolate shows selected triangles, optionally with faded surroundings. Hide selected shows all other triangles. Restore all to select another surface. Selection and original geometry remain intact.

5 · Selection appearanceUnselected geometry transparency 0%

7 · Agent handoff

📷 Work with your AI agent · screenshots can prevent wasted rebuilds

Try the model, share a screenshot of what happened and describe what looks wrong in ordinary words. Your agent can compare before/after images, repair a small reusable script, and ask you to retest instead of repeatedly rebuilding or regenerating the whole asset.

This can reduce unnecessary paid AI calls or generations, but savings depend on your tools and usage; image analysis may also be metered. Read our screenshot-first workflow and example prompt ↗

Handoff records a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original GLB, a mesh path, triangle indices, UVs when present, and 3D hit location. Import refuses a different file fingerprint. Original model data is never rewritten.

Scope and limitations

Milestone A includes universal inspection, triangle selection, connected-component selection using shared geometric edges, mesh selection, display modes, camera presets, and JSON save/restore. Large selections may be slow on phones. Connected parts are determined by matching position edges within a small tolerance, so near-coincident seams may connect or stay separate depending on geometry. This test hides or isolates selected source triangles in the viewer without editing GLB geometry; previews are rebuilt as lightweight meshes and may not follow animated/skinned deformation. Painting and geometry edits remain future milestones.

Motion Studio · integrated test

The working keyframe and joint controls have been adapted to share this viewer. They activate only when your GLB contains bones. Inbuilt GLB clips can be previewed separately.

🔵 Pose every joint

Choose Pose to drag any blue dot or touch a body part. The camera stays locked while posing. Choose Orbit when you want to rotate the model. Every detected joint can also be chosen by name.

Pose: camera locked. Orbit: move the camera, including while animation plays. Play automatically switches to Orbit.

Find a joint (optional) All detected skeleton joints

Move selected joint · backup touch controls

If dragging isn't responding, choose the hoof joint above (or tap its yellow dot), then tap an arrow. This moves the joint locally without rotating the camera.

Movement per tap

Select a joint, then tap an arrow to test whether the bone solver moves it.

Load a rigged GLB, then tap any blue dot.

Local experimental IK: nearest connected parent joints rotate to follow your drag. Skeleton roots move as a whole. This does not enforce anatomical limits or keep every foot planted yet.

Joint

IK · Move a paw, hand or foot (experimental)

Select three connected bones from the loaded rig: upper joint, middle joint, and end joint. Choose the end joint first, then use Auto-chain. Move its target using model-local X/Y/Z. Capture keyframe saves the resulting pose. No mesh or original file is overwritten.

End joint (paw / hand / foot)

Choose a rigged model and an end joint.

Turn on Drag IK, then drag the colored target directly in the 3D view. The target moves parallel to your screen; use the coordinate controls for depth adjustments. Turn off to rotate the camera normally.

Experimental 2-joint IK. Not all skeletons are compatible.

Embedded GLB animation clips (if present)

↥ Restore

New animation clip name

Exports a new GLB with your captured poses as an embedded clip, alongside the model's imported clips. Your original GLB and saved session remain unchanged. Reimport the download to verify.

Load a rigged GLB to enable posing. Animated GLBs with clips can be previewed without manual keyframe capture.
